Leicester has a new Picnic Pop Up area to add to the outdoor café seating in the city centre.
The picnic space on Green Dragon Square is open until October and is situated between Knight and Garter and Leicester Market.
With picnic tables, shaded parasols and fabulous plants all arranged for social distancing the area is the perfect spot to relax and bring food from one of many restaurants and cafés in the city centre.
You can also get a no-contact delivery service from Deliveroo, JustEat, EatMe, UberEats and Owlgetit, straight to the main entrance for safe collection.
To help stay safe, the picnic tables have been set up to make it easier for social distancing, staff will take special care to regularly clean surfaces, and there’s hand sanitiser available at the entrance and exit.
The Picnic Pop Up is open 7 days a week, Monday – Saturday 11am -7pm and Sunday 11am-5pm with free entry.
Please be aware a maximum of 6 people are allowed per table (from the same household or support bubble). Alcohol is only allowed with food and no glass or bottles are permitted in the area
