Search underway for missing Leicester man

Police are appealing to the public for help to find a man who has been reported missing.

Anthony Lawson, 42, left an address in the Springfield Road of Leicester around 7.50am this morning (2 August).

He was last seen around London Road near to Leicester train station between 9.30am and 10.30am.

Anthony has learning difficulties and may appear confused. He may have tried to have travelled to the Coalville or Bilsthorpe, Notthingham areas.

He is described as white, of a very thin build, 5ft 1ins tall with short grey and black hair and a long face.

He was last seen wearing a light grey hooded top and jogging bottoms with a fluorescent green t-shirt. He was also wearing black and white trainers, carrying a black holdall bag over his shoulder and may in possession of a silver pedal cycle.

Anthony’s family are extremely concerned for his welfare and would urge anyone who knows where he is or may have seen anyone matching his description to get in touch.

Anyone with information can call Leicestershire Police on 101 quoting incident 193 of 2 August.
