The southbound carriageway of the M1 has been closed after a multi-vehicle crash in Leicestershire.
The incident has occurred between J21A and J20 of the motorway. All lanes of the southbound carriageway have been closed due to the collision.
A number of vehicles are involved in the incident and drivers have been advised to avoid the area.
Highways England said: “Please expect long delays in the area and consider planning an alternate route when travelling.”
