Police have closed part of London Road and Stoughton Avenue in Stoneygate after a collision this afternoon.
The crash involved a motorbike and a Heavy Goods Vehicle. Emergency services are currently at the scene dealing with the incident.
The rider of the motorbike has been taken to hospital with ‘serious’ injuries.
Traffic on London Road has been stopped, due to fuel and debris on the roadway. Leicestershire Fire & Rescue are at the scene, helping to make the scene safe.
Drivers have been advised to avoid the area and find an alternative route.
