Cat cafe set to open in Leicester’s Highcross Shopping Centre

Soon you’ll be able to relax and enjoy a bite to eat in the company of fluffy kitties, as the Kitty Café plans to open in the Highcross Leicester.

Kitty Café is the ultimate location for relaxation, family time and an all-round good time with a difference! All in the knowledge that your visit is helping cats finding their forever homes!

There are already three Kitty Cafés in the UK, with the first being set up in Nottingham in 2015. This was followed by cafes in Leeds and Birmingham.

The first Kitty Cafe was set up in Nottingham in 2015 by founder Katie Charles-Richards

Founder Katie Charles-Richards is hoping their fourth location will also receive the same warm welcome when it opens in Leicester.

Like its other cafes, Kitty Café Leicester will have large quirky spaces, lots of colour and of course a bespoke built cat playground.

The majority of the 30 cats in Leicester will be rescued and will be rehabilitated and rehomed, with the team completing all their veterinary requirements.

Jo Tallack, General Manager at Highcross Leicester, said: “The arrival of Kitty Cafe to Highcross Leicester is a great addition to our line-up and offers something new and exciting for our visitors.”

“Animal lovers will enjoy a fun and unique experience to get their feline fix while giving cats the opportunity to find a loving home.”
