CCTV released after man attacked in Leicester city centre

Police have released CCTV footage of a group of men they would like to trace after a man was assaulted in Leicester city centre.

The incident happened in the early hours of August 28, just before 2am, in the area near the junction with Charles Street. 

The victim, a man in his 50s, told officers he had been attacked by a group of men, who then left the scene.

The man was taken to hospital with facial injuries and has since been discharged.

Detectives have been carrying out enquiries to establish the circumstances of the incident.

As part of these enquiries, officers have now issued this CCTV footage and are appealing to speak to the men shown in the CCTV as part of their investigation.
