Body found in car at Leicester Petrol Station

The body of a man has been found in a car in a Petrol Station in Leicester earlier today.

Police were called to the St Matthew’s Service Station in Humberstone Road at 1:30pm after the discovery of the body.

The petrol station has been cordoned off by officers while a forensic examination of the scene is carried out.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police said: “Police were called at around 1.30pm today to a report of a sudden death.”

“Officers attended St Matthew’s Service Station, Humberstone Road, following a report that a man was found unresponsive in a vehicle parked at the location.”

“The man was pronounced deceased at the scene.”

“A cordon remains in place and the death is currently being treated as unexplained while enquiries into the exact circumstances surrounding it are being carried out.”
